I know there may be some add-ons, but we'll be splitting it up and are going to be going all around during our 13 day trip (Gamboa, Coronado, Chiriquí, Chorrera, etc) so at that price it may just make sense for us to rent the SUV and drive straight to Albrook where we will stay.ĭoing a similar search for shuttle service for 7 people, we will end up paying probably upwards $200 to get all of us and our luggage over to Albrook from Tocumen. I have made a few different searches online to get a quote for a 7 seater automatic SUV in Tocumen - it's around $350 base. ![]() That said, our circumstances may force us to make an economic decision based on our group size - this year we are taking 2 more gringa family members who are not familiar with Panama and will be tagging along for most of our trip. Based on my last experience (5 yrs ago), my first inclination is to avoid renting a car right out of the chutes at Tocumen. I rented a car at Tocumen my last trip (about 10 days, makes sense for us as we split our trip between Chiriquí and Panama and we have small kids). I'm going to Panama for my 4th time in June. ![]()
